After a night of significant achievements, where he won three awards, Mike was handcuffed and escorted out of the Crypto.com Arena, where the event took place, on Sunday night.

According to police reports, the reason for the arrest was an alleged altercation involving the rapper and a security guard at the event. A video shared by journalist Chris Gardner, from the Hollywood Reporter, captured the moment when Mike, 48, was led away by two police officers and accompanied by several men in black suits.

A spectator, witnessing the scene, shouted “Free Mike” as the rapper was being escorted. The scene caused surprise among those present, especially considering Mike’s success that night.

During the 2024 Grammy, Killer Mike achieved a milestone in his career by winning in all three categories he was nominated for. He won the awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for “Scientists & Engineers,” as well as taking home the award for Best Rap Album for “Michael”.
